Prophetic Prayer Appointments
Prophetic prayer is a form of Christian prayer in which we ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s heart for a person — words of encouragement, insight, or consolation that help them recognize how God sees them and what He may be inviting them into.
Christians have always trusted that God continues to speak to His people. Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Throughout Scripture and the life of the Church, God’s voice is received not only through public revelation — which is complete in Jesus Christ — but also through prayerful listening guided by the Holy Spirit for the building up of others.
During prophetic prayer, a small team prays quietly and attentively, asking God what He desires to share with you. Any words offered are shared humbly, without pressure, and are always meant to build up, encourage, and console (cf. 1 Corinthians 14:3). Nothing shared replaces Scripture, Church teaching, or personal discernment; rather, it is offered as prayerful encouragement to be received freely and tested with wisdom.
Prophetic prayer is not about dramatic experiences. Most often, it is gentle, prayerful, and deeply personal — helping people become more aware of God’s loving presence and activity in their lives.
People from many Christian traditions, as well as those simply seeking prayer, are welcome. All are encouraged to listen prayerfully, receive what resonates, and set aside anything that does not.
